The Social Network

Since I started being active on Twitter, my blogging activities became much, much more passive. Maybe because I tweeted just about everything that happened as it happens, I don't feel like re-writing it in longer sentences. What’s more fascinating is, I got to tell everybody what I’m doing in just less than 140 characters (not words!). Well a blog entry might need at least a hundred words. Otherwise, I might as well put it on Facebook.

Oh, that’s another one. Facebook. I gradually left Friendster and Myspace for Facebook. But, after a while, Facebook bores me as much as Friendster and Myspace did. Now, Facebook is just a platform for me to play online games and share pictures with friends and family, which I can totally do on Twitter (via Twitpic, Yfrog, etc.). Besides, Twitter has a personal touch to it. The accounts of famous people are usually verified, unlike Facebook, Friendster, and Myspace. Any lowlife-attention-craving-loser could’ve created a Facebook account using a famous name, or any name for that matter, and adding the 'The Real' prefix to convince people that they are who they say they are. And using pictures other than your own as the profile picture is just sickening. #JustSaying

For now, I favor Twitter. And I hope that Twitter will always stay this way. Though I always wish for Twitter to have a ‘Like’ button, please don’t add that function. Please. It won’t be Twitter no more. For me right now, Twitter has never been better. I love it just the way it is. Thank you, Twitter.

But, I will definitely continue blogging. Writing is my passion. I won't let it die.
