Finally, after four years, their latest album is out! Danger Days : The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoy simply exhibits the extension of the band's capability in producing quality tunes. Though the lyrics are as rebellious as ever, and the harder we try to deny the meaning of the songs the closer we come to realize that they reflect the real world. Deep, eh? Plus, I like the fact that they are experimenting with different kind of sounds and instruments to create fresh and current feel to the songs.
After listening through the album, I've fell in love with Bulletproof Heart, NaNaNa, Planetary (Go!), Scarecrow, Summertime, and The Kids From Yesterday. And I know I'll just love the others as much after listening to them over and over again. Also to the Sims' fans, the song NaNaNa is also available in Simlish! Just like Lady Antebellum did with Need You Now.
One of my favorite line is from the song The Kids From Yesterday - 'you only hear the music when your heart begins to break'. We might have different understanding or interpretation of the words, but we know it means something and that something is eerily true!
In a nutshell, this album rocks! MCR is indeed a band of a generation. Congrats!
p/s: Give me a shot to remember!
